Angela Newland Williams, MSW, LCSW
Welcome! My name is Angela, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the central Florida area.
My goal is to provide therapeutic strategies that help individuals realize their ability to make changes and overcome challenges. Because each person is unique, I adapt my approach to meet the needs and personality of each of my clients.
I earned a BA in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Central Florida. I’ve worked with families on parenting skills and advocacy for children’s educational rights, children’s emotions and behaviors, and helped teens learn life skills while transferring out of the foster care system. I enjoyed many years working in a university setting helping young adults with life transitions and finding support. In agencies and in private practice I have had experience working with groups and individual clients of all ages from children to senior adults with anxiety, depression, illness, stress, communication skills, improving self esteem, relationship issues, over achievement, burnout, PTSD, and trauma.
Empowerment, holistic wellness, education, and support are the focus areas of my practice. I have assisted children, families, and adults. I have also enjoyed years of experience working with college student issues and helping young adults navigate their life path.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and have an energetic dog that keeps me busy! I am passionate about self care and am always looking for ways to incorporate this in life. I love traveling and finding ways to relax such as reading, massage, and spending time outdoors.
